This is a slightly expanded telling of the Jonah story. Most retellings of the Jonah story, mine included, stop at the point where the citizens of Nineveh repent, and ignore the more unsettling final part in which Jonah is actually upset about it. A reader from Australia pointed this out to me, and requested that I illustrate the full account for a class she was teaching. I post it here now in case other readers are also interested in hearing “the rest of the story.”
