NO DISRESPECT is intended towards Harrison Ford in this cartoon, an actor whose movies I have enjoyed my whole life. Rather, this cartoon is a commentary on the sad fact that certain actors seem to get typecast into certain types of roles. It is quite possible that, given the right script, Harrison Ford could easily portray a warm, loving father figure with deep sensitivities. But as far as I know, he's never had that chance. Every role of his of which I am acquainted casts him as the gruff, solitary, adventuring type. On the other hand, I suppose being typecast as the tough guy is not necessarily a bad legacy: a generation earlier, did not Humphrey Bogart achieve fame for doing pretty much the same thing?
