This is one of two cartoons inspired by my chemistry course at Hartland High School. The instructor in the drawing is a caricature of our school's chemistry teacher, and the word "bohring" is, of course, a pun on the eminent Danish physicist Niels Bohr (1885-1962) who won the Nobel Prize in 1922 for his work on the structure of atoms.
